While at Middlebourne City Park the other day with my youngest grandson. I thought of one of those hidden memories we have stored away of days gone by when I was a boy of one of the Fox Hunters get together they would have at times there at he Park. I never went Fox Hunting and dont know if people still even Fox Hunt. Stub Forester was a avid fox hunter as was Bones Arthur Spencer, and Ross Crawford and a lot of men some of who I didnt know and they would take their dogs out after dark I think on Klondike and they would turn them loose and the chase would be on. They would gather back at the park and all say their dog was the one barking or was leading the chase. They really loved getting together and telling stories and I was never allowed to stay very late I think they would stay late in the night. Do people still fox hunt? If so I hope they have as much enjoyment as they use to. I know people still coon hunt and it still is a big sport but I dont know about Fox Hunting.
