While at the Soo, June 17, 1982, I got there just in time before sunset, and in the Mac. Lock was the Judith M. Pierson down bound. Of course, earlier this week I posted a series of shots of it in the Welland Canal, taken in 1981so I hope this is not an over-load on this boat, but I did get it often in this name, and not in its others. Anyway, in this picture it captures a passing of the old and the new, or a passing of the guard in Great Lakes ships. The thousand footer Edwin H. Gott, representing a new era, passes a veteran of many eras!
