While doing research on my background a couple of weeks ago, I found some interesting stuff. On August 6, 1980, my parents told me about their decision to transfer me from Holy Angels Elementary School to St. Marys of East Chicago. The reason I remembered was because that was the day I was cleared from my foot surgery to normal activity. At the time it felt like a shot to the gut because I was leaving a lot of my friends. At St. Marys I quickly made new friends. One in particular was a dude named Art Reyna whose family treated me like I was one of their own. A few years later the Reyna Family moved to Memphis. Fast forward to 2001, on August 5th I was let go from my job at a box plant in Chicago. Mainly because I sucked at that work (shut up Walter Wallace). The next day, August 6, I decided to move to Tennessee because Art convinced me that I could better my life in the Volunteer State. Bettering my life was an understatement, mainly because I met this woman that changed my life forever. I have come to realized that the shot in the gut I felt was God pulling a rib from me to form her because she was born August 6, 1980. I have so much to thank God for because of what she means to me. Happy Birthday to he most beautiful woman in the world (she is actually tied for first with Rose Wallace and Verla Vaughan). Harriet Vaughan-Wallace. Words can not express what you mean to me.
