While eating lunch in one of my oldest friends restaurant this afternoon, a tall fella sporting a Moes hat, jacket and name tag came strutting through the front door. He walked up to the counter and handed Chip a flyer inviting him to the Moes grand opening tomorrow. Chips place is a competing Mexican restaurant. I later found out that the same thing happened at another friends restaurant. Matt wasnt in his restaurant at the time of smug Moes guys entry. Now, Im by no means a person who is against businesses coming to town. Bring em all! But the Moes people went about this in the worst possible way. If your introduction to this town is to alienate its people, youve done a fine job thus far. This was a classless and bullying tactic by someone who may have thought it funny. It was not. I for one will be taking my business to your competitors and will not step foot in the new Rome location nor any other Moes location. Hey Moes, WELCOME TO ROME!
