While editing photos yesterday at a relatives place in Nepani, Nasinu, Fiji, I heard what sounded a little like a New Zealand Falcon, but it was a Fiji Goshawk (about the same size as the NZ Falcon). It was sitting in a coconut palm tree across the other side of the suburban street. Camera was in the car, the 400mm lens back at the house we are staying at. Oh well, at least I can add that to my list of birds seen. I hope I see it again when I have the right gear with me!
