While going through the deleted scenes for the end of this next episode, (this not being one of them) I came across this old gem. I still remember seeing this when it came out years ago. Funny now while looking back - but I will admit I was fully against the Pete Carroll signing when it was announced he was headed here. As an avid Duck fan and fan of any team playing against USC for that matter, I remember going through the typical conflicted feeling a fan goes through when a successful but despised enemy joins your team. I couldnt stand Pete. Like every other non USC Pac-10/12 fan, I couldnt stand him because he was good. Even after an amazing 2010 draft, I was still saying things like Im just going to root for the team. It wasnt until I had the opportunity to see him coach in person that summer that I started changing my tune. I had on-field passes to mini camp that summer and will never forget watching this guy change the culture of this organization. From then on I was a convert. Most wont admit it, but a lot of people felt the same way I did when he came here. The funny thing about it all is despite his numbers, hes been booed from the beginning in every organization hes joined. USCs athletic department received close to 2,500 letters expressing their hatred for Pete when he arrived in LA and started 2-5. He went on to go 67-7 in the next 74. Just crazy. Anyways, how did you feel initially when it was announced Pete Carroll was coming to Seattle?
