While in Hamilton today we watched a cab driver hit an old man on a bicycle. The man had the right of way at a green light. The cab was making a right turn and clipped him. I got out to offer assistance. The passenger in the cab did the same. The cab driver forced the man to his feet, said he was sorry and tried to push the guy along like nothing had happened. Through a translator I found out the 80 year old man had hurt his leg. The cab driver insisted he was fine and to move along. The passenger from the cab got out his phone and called the police. The cabbie was not amused and got into his car and left. I had the passenger, who refused to get back in the cab, take photos of the cabs plate #s. The old man insisted he was actually okay and carried on his way with some pedestrians who went with him. As I reluctantly returned to our own car to leave we saw the cabbie pull back around the block to see if the old man was okay. Asshat.
