While it makes total sense, its interesting to note that the Beatles played something like 60%+ of the live gigs theyd ever do before they released Love Love Me Do in 1962. They played in Hamburg starting in 60 and did six shows a week. Anybody whos played with any degree of regularity knows that a gigs worth 10 practices and steady gigs go way beyond that. Its no wonder that when you see videos of their early shows, that they perform effortlessly regardless of the screaming, no monitors to speak of...you sing harmonies into same mic and you can hear each other. Basic stuff thats no longer done. I still find sound and stage monitors a strange concept. Im used to it, but put me next to the drums and Im fine. I dont need a monitor mix and its a truly rare gig where I have a monitor...the old guy will shut up now. https://youtube/watch?v=brwmLjD-3Hw
