While its not that we dont appreciate the gesture (we absolutely DO) - but please folks, if you cannot (or have no intention to) follow through with support commitments for our animals - just dont make them. We are now in a $3,000.00 bind because one person has failed to follow through with donation commitments for match funds, air travel sponsorships and won auction items - - funds that are counted on dearly in order for us to maintain. I understand fully that life happens - but this was not a one time commitment - this has been delayed for weeks and as the ultimate promise date came and went - as has ANY contact whatsoever. First of course, came the concern and worry for the donors welfare (because there have been long-standing health issues) - then, as random posts popped up about this person being here or there and with FB showing the person having been active as of an hour ago, etc. almost daily (including today) - the hurt and upset took over that we obviously were not even deserving of the respect of a single note in response, email or message offering clarification. The best of intentions... - as they say.... however, follow through - is paramount, in any situation. I am posting this publicly, for the many of you who have inquired... I honestly do not have the time to respond individually. Due to lack of follow through on the part of the donor - Kylie and I will meet those commitments from our own personal savings... well cover the air delivery sponsorships - well meet the match fund commitments - and well return those unpaid items back to the auction. We value, respect and appreciate each and every one of our friends, followers and supporters - - whether youve shared a single positive wish, click or prayer - - or have funded our efforts into the thousands..... we simply ask for that same value, respect and appreciation in return. To be blatantly disregarded in this manner - is beyond hurtful - to us, and to the animals.
