While many religions advocate that truth of natural reason and supernatural revelation are harmonious in pointing to transcendent Source of all. There is tendency of our contemporaries to restrict all religious encounters and experiences to naturalistic explanations. Even revelation that is essentially supernatural is reduced to naturalistic motif, though this in itself denies revelation and forcloses any miraculous intervention, by their pretence to appear modern they unwittinly emptied religion that they sought to modernise of meaning. Faith is order of knowledge that goes beyond naturalistic ways of knowing, faith that is essentially supernatural is rooted in revelation that is by its very nature is supernatural and cannot be restricted to natural ways of knowing. Our knowledge of merely natural things, so far as it is restricted to naturalistic level cannot encompass whatever is supernatural, so naturalism not only denies revelation and miracles, it makes all ideas about Deity meaningless. Though, unhampered human reason can come to knowledge of uncaused cause of all things that is called God. Yet, only God can reveal mystery of himself. As for those who erroneous hold that only scientific knowledge, especially knowledge based on mathematical abstraction and model is possible, though they may profess some religion, in reality, they are materialists, for by their restricting knowledge, scientia, to naturalistic explanations, their faith can only be in photons and electrons, their religion can only based on gravity and speed of light, this is to say they have no religion and faith is unnecessary to them.
