While on the bus, i unintentionally overheard a conversation of a young Canadian couple behind me, They talked about traveling and studying.. At one point, the guy was saying something about taking a class on international law on the example of Israel. The girl immediately started criticizing israel, saying they violate everything. The guy said, in fact, this is what most students ended up demonstrating, but professor told them to see the other side. Then the girl went on saying i hate how they use holocaust as an excuse.. but this was not the end of my delight. He then said as long as USA is shaping the way UN works, Israel can do whatever it wants. Its so nice to see this level of awareness among young Canadians, and this is a result of activism, campaigns and protests devoted to the cause - live and on social networks.
