India enjoys tremendous goodwill amongst the SE Asian people but Nehruvian Secular politics did not CASH in on this CULTURAL BONDING rather looked more to the Islamic middle east, letting China fill the void. Once all these countries were CONNECTED by rail and road routes, there was continuous movement of people and goods in this region. Post World war II changed everything. IT IS TIME TO REVIVE OUR SHARED HISTORY, LINK IT WITH THE PRESENT, that is the WAY FORWARD
