While our baby boys birth didnt go as we had originally planned, we had prayed before the birth that it would simply be blessed, no matter the outcome or the way we got there. It was quite a journey that was peaceful and scary and very challenging. We started at home, I progressed very quickly at the birth center, but then a couple of circumstances made transfer to the hospital the best choice for rest and a successful delivery. We are thrilled with our baby boy, who is big and healthy and has lots of beautiful, blonde hair and I think is better looking than either Drew or I! He was born October 22nd, 2014, 9:03 am, weighing 9 lb., 19.5 inches long. We have named him Aidan Thomas Lawson: Aidan for St. Aidan of Lindesfarne (Iona, Ireland), meaning little fire (which he is already!)--a beautiful man and saint--and Thomas for my father (his middle name) and St. Thomas the Apostle. Welcome to our world, dear son!
