While preparing for another night over the weekend, I found You Will Never Find by In Essence (1999; 15 years ago...WOW!)...Even when you play old school, you still got to be fresh...Cannot play the same ol old school...This vinyl was played by only a few. One could not just walk into the record shop and simply pick up a copy...This song was only played on radio during a DJ mix show (if he / she had it). Very popular in the club and mix tape circuit...The Fellas loved on the Quiet Storm beat and the Ladies loved the melody...I remember the first time I saw it on waxx by my good friend D.j. Jesse Jazz. His copy had an orange label. I asked him for the link to get a copy, but again it was hard to find...So how did I get copies? Its a DJs secret. One does not just speak on where he gets his precious records. This was part of the fun and excitement for DJs that use vinyl; knowing there is a prestigious feeling in acquiring hard to find vinyl. My DJ friends know what I am talking about...Also knowing that you are the only DJ that night with a particular song. Whoo what a feeling...And the crowd goes wild when you play it!!
