While reading President Bushs book 41 about his father, I took a few minutes to watch President Reagans address to Congress following the assassination attempt. After the touch and go days just a few weeks earlier, the President stood before a joint session of Congress and thanked those who supported him and stood beside him during the dark days following the assassination attempt. He then set out a plan of recovery that everyone could get behind. And, by golly, it worked. I miss the days when Democrats and Republicans could work together to get things done with a President of integrity, honor and humility.
