While reflecting on today’s homily on the Gospel in celebration - TopicsExpress

While reflecting on today’s homily on the Gospel in celebration with the Feast of Saint Joseph, the husband of Mother Mary, I can’t help but ponder on what faithfulness, chastity, poverty and humility mean. I am honored to be named by my parents after my idol saint, whose lowliness, patience and humility were insurmountable. So from now on I will make him my model saint, having my life patterned after him with the help of the Holy Spirit. Further, I fervently hope and pray that my son, Joseph Ryan, who celebrates his birthday today, shall live according to the purpose God intended him to be, doing what is pleasing before God’s eyes. Happy birthday my beloved son and may God’s angels will always protect you and your siblings from any harm. Just remember should anyone here on earth fail you, you can always count on me. I am just here for you anak. My love for you is untiring, unfailing and it will last forever. For the sake of my children, I am more than willing to live a meager, pious and simple life to make them rich, maybe not with earthly positions but with heavenly things that I’ve taught you by way of example how I live my life today.
