While ships filled with human cargo sailed for its 90 day voyage of soaring the seas, a few held captive became free on the way. Captives dived into sea with hope greater than the struggle of facing waves and water dwellers. They swimmed to dry land. An island. Christopher Columbus established a fort on the island in 1492. The people over thru the French, declared their independence and became the first free nation of black people(Haiti). My Dads Dad was born in Haiti. He moved from there to New Orleans. New Orleans has been a neutral spot on the globe since the late 1500s. Thats where every big time trader in the world would meet up to trade with one another. That explain the different cultures too.
