While sitting at a red light downtown tonight with my kiddos, we saw an older man looking and digging in a trash can. God nudged my heart, I approached him & gave the man a few dollars. The man said thank you and God bless you...but he didnt want to take the money but said he was only looking for water to drink. I then went to my trunk and gave him 2 bottled waters and his face lit up like Christmas. He told me that I was his blessing. As if I gave him something that was priceless.. I think that as parents and as children of God, we are supposed to set the example. Black,White yellow or blue, what does Christ mean to you? I alone cant change the world but if my brother is thirsty, I can share my cup for him to drink! Love is what we need! If I say I love you, you will surely know from my actions. My example to my kids is ~ give your actions, not just your words; people remember more of what you do than what you say!
