While the Nirvanas and Pearl Jams of the world brought grunge to - TopicsExpress

While the Nirvanas and Pearl Jams of the world brought grunge to the masses, our number 11 entry toiled away as part of the "riot grrl" movement. L7 was an all-female grunge band who moved on to a more heavy metal sound with their fourth album Hungry For Stink. In addition to the grungier metal sound came darker subject matter dealing with things like stalking and insanity. L7 is infamous when at the 1992 Reading Festival during a set plagued by technical problems, the crowd began throwing mud on stage. To counter, lead singer Donita Sparks removed her tampon and threw it into the crowd. Someone actually threw it back! I bought this album used in a pawn shop in Cold Lake and it spent many a day on my disc man while I cleaned at the golf course managed by a soulless hellbeast. Top Tracks:Andre, Can I Run?, Baggage, Questioning My Sanity, She Has Eyes, Stuck Here Again
