While the constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria confer the right of interpretation of our laws on the Judiciary as an arm of government, it is disheartening to see leading members of the judiciary at various time given varying interpretation of the law on important national questions. Even in the supreme court, we had cases of justices of five panelist disagreeing with one another over a common position on judgement. In my opinion, the right of interpretation of the laws confer on the judiciary does not abrogate your right as a citizen to know the provisions of the law inorder to be abreast with your rights and that of fellow citizens. This is important inorder to make the world a better place for all as in the words of SOCRATES education makes the people easy to lead but difficult to enslave. If u claim to be educated and u do not know your rights and that of others, then the whole essence of education is defeated.
