While the debate continues and again fueled by the mere offer by a single company to honor those who have fallen on whether the Circle K should or shouldnt offer a FREE or discounted cup of coffee to the officer who just pulled an all nighter searching for a missing child that he found in a box tucked away in a garage for days or going over the scene of a family killed by a drunk driver...the question we SHOULD be asking is..is it ethical of the criminals who murder rape or rob your brothers or sisters..spouses..children or parents then receive the luxury of not being tortured in the same way they put that baby in a box..or receive FREE housing in a warm jail cell and FREE legal council paid by your tax dollars. A mere gesture by a company to honor the slain officers or off duty officers taking that offer IS NOT the same as blatant disregard or violation of policy. If this indeed falls under the same policy..I will gladly petition to lift that policy in this horrible time. Our LEOs are being specifically attacked..this is not the normal or usual putting themselves at risk.
