While there are some good points to this article, I think its audacious to place pets atop the hierarchy for greenhouse gas emissions when two men alone, those pesky Koch brothers, likely produce an order of magnitude more greenhouse gas than all the dogs in the U.S. Now, I agree with the author that Im not going to live without my dog; but I certainly could live, and likely much nicer, if we jettisoned the Kochs into space.
