While there is still much to do, it was a great first week in the 114th Congress. In addition to re-introducing the FairTax with a record number of original sponsors, we were able to pass the Hire More Heroes Act, and quickly follow with more commonsense bills that would restore the 40-hour work week eroded by Obamacare, authorize construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, and reform and reauthorize terrorism risk insurance. With a new American Senate, I’m excited to see these bipartisan bills move to the President’s desk.
