While traveling on IH 35, an elderly gentleman by the name of Bob was desperately waving people down for help. My heart skipped a beat. Pulled over, backed up, had him move his truck over a little, called for help but the road side assistance was closed due to matters beyond their control. I called 9-1-1 for help with the traffic and we (mostly Mark) helped changed the tire and there was SO MUCH TRAFFIC. I was horrified by the fact that, regardless of how many people drove by, no one else stopped. People didnt even slow down and even laid on their horns. WTH! All I could think was, what if that were my Mama. I was afraid something was medically wrong with him. Bob insisted on paying us something and I insisted that a hug was the most I could ask from him. Praying that Bob made it home safely.
