While trudging though the mud on a hike today I realized something. It truly is amazing how much of a change nature must go through seasonally. Everything went from being frozen solid a week ago with rarely any signs of lush, green anything to already showing signs of rebirth and rejuvenation. Plants were already correcting their posture, certain trees were budding and water that was frozen only hours ago was flowing at a vigorous rate. When I lived in the south everything was pretty standard throughout the year. Yes the temperature fluctuated but not enough to really jeopardize anything. The Midwest Mother Nature must be a flannel clad, armpit hair having beaver bumper. End inner hippie rant.
