While waiting for the speaker repair to cure, I turned my attention to the cabinet these came from.. Much to my surprise, a bath and some minor gluing of the Tolex covering yielded a nice, clean cabinet. Bonus being it is plywood, as opposed to particle board. This was originally a combo amp, but I parted it out when hot-rodding a different amp. My plans for this one are to make it into a double 12 extension cabinet, which can also serve as a speaker cabinet for a piggyback style arrangement.. It should end up to be a rockin cabinet. ;) Im undecided if I want to make it an open back or closed back.. Ill think it over before cutting anything. It was originally an open back style. Maybe Christopher has an opinion on this.. Pics will be forthcoming..
