While watching Boyz II Men yesterday, I noticed a very well dressed man with a Disney CM name tag on. Id say he was maybe 40 yrs old. He definitely did not have one of those trash picker-upper gizmos in his hand, leading me to believe from his manner of dress, and lack of trash retrieval stick that he must be pretty high up in the food chain of Disney. So, I jumped off my seat on the fountain in front of America, and the Eat To The Beat Stage to talk to aforementioned well-dressed man. I introduced myself and stuck out my hand to shake hands. He introduced himself, and shook my hand. I led with my name, AP status, Houston, TX is my home, and we own a home in Clermont bc we liked visiting Epcot so much, but thats changed with no Off Kilter. He asked how long we had been fans of OK..... ALWAYS, and asked if wed seen the lumberjacks. I told him I live 7 miles from downtown Houston. ..... a vibrant, growing city with the sounds of chainsaws, hammers, saws. I assured him that I did not intend ever again to vacation to a place with the sound of chainsaws as an attraction, and yes, we stopped to see the lumberjacks, until my husband declared them a non-entertaining, boring show. Mr. Nicely-Dressed CM did admit that the lumberjack show has not turned out to be the entertainment Disney hoped it would be. He also said OK would not be able to return immediately. So I said Why? The smart money is on you fixing your mistakes sooner rather than later for the sake of your own bottom line. Too many people such as me are choosing to spend our cash elsewhere, and our family has no problem buying Universal APs if chainsaws, and no OK continues to be the norm at Epcot. I asked him if hed seen the newest Harry Potter additions at Universal. He said no. I said Universal realized what the fans want, and expanded upon it, and are not changing for the sake of change. They are giving the fans what they want. Disney would be wise to just admit they made a mistake, fix it fast before all of the OK fans, or those who dislike lumberjacks find other places to spend their money. If we, the fans of OK, can change our plans quickly, and adapt to our needs, no reason what so ever all those smart executives at Disney cant decide quickly to move the lumberjacks elsewhere where the sounds of chainsaws do not float across the lagoon, and put OK back where they belong. He who hesitates is lost. ..... or at least our $$$ will be lost to Disney. He was very nice, thanked me for my opinion, took notes on his phone, and said hes meeting many people every day who stop him to tell him to bring back OK. He promised to pass on my concerns, and said he love to keep us as Disney fans. ......
