While watching this pelican, I noticed that something was wrong. If you look to the right, you can see the fishing line which had gotten wrapped around a toe and he was unable to get free. I stopped my video as the pelican was reeled in. He remained very calm, but I held his wings close to his body to make sure he wasnt injured while the line was removed, which took awhile as it was wrapped quite tightly. When he was free, the pelican refused to leave, just standing on the railing wiggling his tail. He was given a little push and he finally flew back to the water, uninjured.
