While we, along with the various other groups and citizens in Saint John try to help as many cats as possible, we have a wait list when we are at capacity. There are still cats outdoors fending for themselves and the temperature is really going to drop tonight. Here is a link about how to make cat shelters that take little time and cost. Styrofoam and straw are the best insulators. Straw (not hay) does not hold moisture and is therefore much better than blankets and towels which do hold moisture and freeze. There are stores that sell plug in dishes to keep food and water from freezing and heated animal pads.
