While we were in town yesterday we found Sweet n Spicy at Agia Sofia 12. (Check out her Facebook page! It is full of goodies! goo.gl/t2gRYP ) Its a little gem of a place and the owner is so enthusiastic and very welcoming and helpful. She obviously loves to cook and has used all the herbs and spices she sells in the shop in her recipes at home. She buys her herbs and spices in small quantities so they are always fresh. The smells and colours are fantastic. I bought a small packet of her homemade spice mix called Zaatar. This is totally new to me. It is Lebanese and can be used with meat (it is lemon-y), vegetables or sauces. It can also be mixed with oil and spread on toast or bread. Im looking forward to trying it. Its good to learn something new. Its especially good to be able to buy something different! We wish her the very best of luck in her venture. She deserves to do well.
