While we were saying good bye and packing the car at the camp-weave-a-hope, Graylyn and Gavrik asked if we could walk down the trail to the beach one more time before we left. I decided that would be fun. The walk was great as we stoppedand wondered, took pictures, and had an encounter with a friendly dear. I watched the kids run ahead and I thought to myself (while trying to stop my tears) I wish you were here with us David. When we got to the lake we began looking for flat rocks for Gavrik to skip on the water. Gavrik was trying to teach his mama how to skip. I reached down to pick up a flat black stone and thought it looked like a heart... then right next to it was another heart shaped whitest grey rock. As I picked them up amazed at the fact that that two rocks, light and dark, laid right next to each other on this beautiful lake bed... the kids and I discovered the two rocks were ONE. You see, the rock broke right in half. Graylyn shared that the heart was mine and Davids broken heart! Yes indeed my child :(
