While were talking about census: Ive been taking meticulous attendance records throughout the year of who turned up at the weekly practice, all in a spreadsheet. As a young realm, were of course very concerned about recruiting and retention, so I want to squeeze as much information out of my data as possible, and would like suggestions for what kind of questions I should ask my data. Some basics are: What time of year do most people come out? How many times do people turn up? After how many times do people stop turning up? Are people who join at large practices more likely to stay? In the future, I should probably take a few more notes to help set a context: How was the weather, were there other events in town, how did newcomers learn about us. Ideas for using attendance records for gaining recruitment & retention insights very welcome.
