Whilst I understand and sympathise with the good intentions of those who choose to raise funds for cancer, here are my good reasons why I choose not to support or donate to the bigger mainstream fundraising organisations. Before anyone accuses me of being cold, callous and uncaring please be mindful of the fact that I have lost one someone so deeply special to me to this unforgiving and relentless disease. Yet despite the heartache and sense of loss, the deep desire to fight the big fight and find a cure, I will at the end of the day avoid the emotional hype, the constant pulling and tugging of the emotional heart strings that these so called charitable foundations pray upon.. Because it is the pharmaceutical companies that are playing us all like puppets in a side show, cosmetic companies and corporate giants that parade this awful disease as a marketable shelf product. It is time we opened our eyes and our minds to the fact that as long as we open our bank accounts to these charities there will never be a cure. youtu.be/jsRVBH3MCQU
