Whilst at Ivatt 2MT 46447 officially launch back into traffic at the East Somerset Railway, on Sunday 26th October 2014, I was very, very privileged to be able to have a trip on the footplate on a return run from Mendip Vale back to Cranmore! What an experience! Traveling on a loco that hauled its last train back in 1966, on it first day back in service! A massive, massive thank you to the crew for this rare opportunity, and the many volunteers who have painstakingly restored her over the past 103 weeks in the East Somerset Railways Workshops.
