Whilst reading another chapter of The Secret Garden, or rather - TopicsExpress

Whilst reading another chapter of The Secret Garden, or rather attempting to, our wee lass asks me what the Moors of Yorkshire look like. The book takes place there, and she was curious if it looked the same as she imagined it would. If only I had memories of moments like these as a child. Sadly, I probably didnt have these types of memories to remember in the first place. Apparently shes also a critic. She doesnt mind my British accent, but is quick to groan over a broad Yorkshire dialect loik wuts is call fer in threadinothis ere book. Ok, so my writtino Yorkshire isnt as fine as the speaks. I really am glad to have these moments with her. So, a hint for Kelseys birthday on the 19th of September, and mine too for that matter, (November 6) a Kindle fire HD so we can both read together and talk about books and so on. ;) It was worth a mention. Haha. I just fell happy that we have enough these times together... Also, as it turns out, my child has befriended a girl who is living in a pretty rough family situation. I think she found her BFF, and a way for me (and my family) to help someone who is growing up in much the way I did. Maybe we can be the thing she looks forward to because we treat her like a human who deserves love. Well I may be getting ahead of myself here. But if Im not, I hope we can help. Kelsey is happy having someone to play with and I will do what I can to allow her the opportunity to have and keep friends. Anyway, kinda went to left field for a bit there. I just feel really proud that my daughter gets a lot out of our reading time together.
