Whilst the likes of Stephen Keshi...who won the AFCON13 as a prelude to a World Cup appearance...& managed to get their team into the 2nd round the competition in Brazil have long since resigned...the stone-head GFA in GH insist on maintaining the fiasco status quo...something that was forecast by some of we over 2 years ago...!!...Yooo...!! The bigger picture however looks like this...since what we all saw being the fiasco that has become our world cup appearance in Brazil...& even before dat...what have we come to see...4 key architects of the circus...Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah...his deputy Yammin...Kwesi Appiah...& Kwesi Nyantakyi...continue to benefit from their classic failure...!!...Elvis has been promoted to minister of state @ the Office of the President...Yammin has been shifted along the same rank to the Ashanti Region...Kwesi Appiah retains his job as national team coach...with an 82.5% increase in salary...& the govt continues to allow Kwesi Nyantakyi to cloak himself in FIFA indemnity to retain his role GFA chairman...!! All key players in the fiasco of managing our football @ the world cup have only seen an improvement in their stock since the nonsensical circus they all collectively oversaw in Brazil a couple of weeks ago...whilst WE THE PEOPLE OF GH have to live with the losses of being the indelible laughing stock of the world cup in Brazil...!! All this in an enabling environment...created by a nations president who continues to run a PROTECTIONIST RACKET from the seat of govt @ the Flagstaff House...!!...I mean how can all dis be happening...when the president himself is supposed to have set-up a committee to inquire into da friggin debacle...!!?? When we talk...dem say we de yarn too much...!!...But lets pause & ask ourselves...by what standards is our country being run...!!??...Does dis world cup fiasco & the way it has been dealt with by all national authorities involved not indicate to all GH folk...just why our socio-economic problems of low productivity...poor access to power supply...no water...petrol shortage...gas shortage...poor healthcare delivery...human insecurity...food insecurity...continuously climbing taxes & tariffs...etc...etc...remain endemic...with only the robbery of Peter to pay Paul as solutions...!!??...SMDH...!! ghanaweb/GhanaHomePage/SportsArchive/artikel.php?ID=315794
