Whitaker Report: On Monday we had a cool start in the morning with temps in the 50s, but with plenty of sunshine the temperature reached into the mid 70s for the afternoon. Yesterday anglers staying in the motel and stopping into the shop who fished the DSR reported seeing a few more fish first thing in the morning. Still no big numbers by any means, but depending on who you spoke with and where they fished some saw less then 6 fish, while others saw over a dozen. Angers who fished the upper end of the river reported seeing a few fish holding in some of the deeper holes. Yesterday the lake was fishable, but we didnt make it out and the anglers we did speak with from the lake reported getting fish.
