Whitby police are appealing for information after a burglary and theft of food in the town. It occurred between 12am and 7.30am on Saturday 26 April 2014, from a house in White Horse Yard. The thieves stole a purse and around £50 worth of food from the fridge. PC Melanie Smith, of Whitby Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: If you were in the White Horse yard area around the time of the burglary, please can you to get in touch me as soon as possible. Anyone who can assist with this enquiry should contact Whitby police on 101. select option 2 and ask for Melanie Smith. Alternatively, information can be emailed to [email protected].
