White: Kennedy dominant, fight not crowd pleasing Wednesday - TopicsExpress

White: Kennedy dominant, fight not crowd pleasing Wednesday night, Tim Kennedy beat Michael Bisping four rounds to one in the eyes of two judges. The third judge gave every round to Kennedy. And the pre fight odds had favored Bisping. UFC president Dana White reflected on the fight at the post-fight press conference. Kennedy did exactly what he said, said White, as transcribed by MMAMania. Bisping wouldnt throw any punches because he didnt want to get taken down again. He didnt realize how dominant he was gonna be on the ground. It was a classic example of what happens when a guy gets taken down and has great jiu-jitsu like that. Its gonna clam a guy up and hes gonna get gun shy and not throw punches. It wasnt a crowd-pleaser, not a fight where people at home are going woo hoo, this is awesome, but the guy put on a pretty dominant performance. (Bisping) got dominated. A slightly different perspective was offered by SB Nations Luke Thomas. Luke Thomas @SBNLukeThomas Im reading some people thought Bisping vs. Kennedy was boring. Its a confederacy of dunces out there, indeed. How did you feel about the fight? Masterful display of wrestling dominance, or I wish they had done the punches more?
