White Privilege is… News Media Outlets coming at Rachel Jeantel’s head yesterday, Different White panelists commenting on how she isn’t viable because of her general use of AAVE, her appearance, her intelligence and her attitude…as if she was on trial her damn self! Belittling her and using her age of 19 yrs to call her a GROWN woman in hopes to embarrass her further. But today,20 yr old Molly West, the daughter of Don West, Defense Attorney to George Zimmerman posted a photo and caption celebrating her Father overcoming ”stupidity” (which would be in reference to Rachel Jeantel) while eating Ice-cream … but the SAME MEDIA OUTLET PANELIST bold faced turned around and screams " She is JUST A KID! Leave her out of this! She is just a KID and this shouldn’t be discussed!”, and the subject was dropped. White privilege is ignoring the fact the Courts made a rule that no one involved in the case should be using Social Media, including immediate relatives, and still not getting punished for it or ridden about it in the Media. White privilege is setting white social standards on someone who is culturally different and deeming them as wrong and uneducated, but disregarding other instances if someone who is white does it.
