White racism and imperialism poses serious, difficult challenges and in many instances, life-threatening problems for Blacks. White imperialistic and racist propaganda undermines the self-confidence of Blacks in their full humanity, intelligence, creativity-their innate capacity to develop a civilization superior to that of Europeans through the use of their God-given abilities. Because Afrikan Americans and Afrikans have allowed Eurocentric disinformation campaigns to convince them that science, mathematics, technology, and general academic excellence are not originally and inherently “Afrikan,” and can be independently comprehended and applied by people with black skin equally as well as or superior to any other people- many Afrikan Americans and Afrikans have refused to include high level cognitive or intellectual competence in their definition of themselves or their self-concept or their concept of what it means to be Black or Afrikan.
