Who Called Eve Woman? The man said,“This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” - Gen 2:23 Friends, do you know that God was not the person that called Eve woman? Adam did because God gave him the authority to name all His creation; Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name. So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him. And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man. And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.” (Genesis 2:19-23 NKJV) God respected and still respect that authority He gave to the man, thats why when Adam and Eve disobeyed God failed in the garden, He called the man; And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? (Genesis 3:9 KJV) • Adam the formed male/man named Eve the formed female/woman, showing the authority God gave to the man over a woman to love her as his own bones and flesh, not to treat her as a slave or stranger. > God called both male and female Adam/human the day He created them before He formed them separately; ...In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created. (Genesis 5:1-2 KJV) • It was the first Adam God formed that named the other Adam God formed out of him Eve/woman; the man Adam also named the woman Adam his wife; And Adam called his wifes name Eve; because she was the mother of all living. (Genesis 3:20 KJV) > So the mouth of the Lord did not name the female Adam, but the mouth of male Adam named her both woman(bones and flesh of the male) and Eve(the mother of all born human). • God forming the male Adam first gave him the authority over the female Adam formed after him. From the beginning God made women to be under the authority of men for better, and not for better for worse; And the Lord God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him. (Genesis 2:18 KJV) > So every woman is under either the authority of her father as a single girl or the authority of her husband as a married woman (Read Num 30). • A father loves his daughter and husband his wife; For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it... (Ephesians 5:29 NKJV) > A daughter is one flesh and blood with her father, and a wife is one flesh with her husband; And no man had ever hated his own flesh either as his daughter or wife. • Woman, you were formed out of man to be a helper to him either as your father or husband. Submit/respect a man who labored and gave birth to you and a man who loved and married you. > Women were not formed to compete with men, nor men formed to subdue women. • Woman, Your desire shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you” was part of curse of God in Genesis 3:16. > God formed you to submit to the mans authority but not to depend on him either as your father or husband. Its curse to depend on any man and him ruling over you. • God did not form the man to rule over the woman until the day she listened to the serpent and deceived her man. > So long a woman remain a woman/helper she was formed to be, there wont be peace and prosperity where she is. Its wisdom for a woman to be respectful either to her husband or to her husband; The wise woman builds her house, But the foolish pulls it down with her hands. (Proverbs 14:1 NKJV) • Wise woman is like a virtuous wife whose worth is far above rubies. The heart of her father/husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil All the days of her life. (Proverbs 31:10-12) + I pray for wisdom from above upon every woman reading this message to respect and be a gain to her father or husband; And I pray for wisdom from above upon every man reading this message to love his daughter or wife; May the Lord give us all grace and mercy to help in time of need in Jesus Name!
