Who Do You Think You Are? Day 47: Vessel for Honor Who do you think you are? Are you not dead with Christ Jesus? Do you not also live with Him? These you are, and you also endure, knowing that you will reign with Him! You do not wrangle about words, but you are diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. You avoid empty chatter like the plague, knowing that it will only lead to further ungodliness. You are the Lord’s, and He knows you, and since you name the name of the Lord, you abstain from wickedness. You have cleansed yourself from these things, making you a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work. You simply flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. You refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels, and you are not quarrelsome. Who do you think you are? You are kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, hoping that perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and that they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will! 2Ti 2:11-26
