Who am I? We all ask ourselves that sometimes and we all have felt unlovable, we all have felt lost and we all have struggled with identity. I remember I struggled with my identity in 7th grade. I always wanted to be the center of attention and the cool one. I said and did things that Im ashamed of today, but God came to me and showed me who I was in Christ. I still fall sometimes to the approval and the cries of the world, yet I remember the One who gave them breath and formed the world they walk on. I remember that I have the acceptance and love of their Maker. The Maker of the Heavens and of the Earth, the One who died so that I- a wretch like me, could be accepted into His family as His son. Here are some verses about who we are and the God who loves us so much and a song/video that I hope all of you will watch and listen to the words of the song that plays, as it deals with this theme. Isaiah 43:2 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. 1 John 3:1-3 3 See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Beloved, we are Gods children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears[a] we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is.
