Who appoints our ministers? Is it the President or his advisors? We always talk of the president appointing the cabinet or reshuffling it, but have we really ever thought of what transpires behind the scenes? Did you know that there is some heavy lobbying by different individuals that take place? I am not sure if most of you are aware that ministers who are in these critical sectors are appointed by local and foreign funders? For example, Who lobbied for the individuals who became ministers from both MDCs and Zanu to hold the posts they had in the GNU? Who made sure that some lame duck compromised ministers were appointed in critical ministries? This is where corruption starts and these funders are the people who actually run the country because they make decisions that matter. You may make as much noise as you want about Mugabe or the Security reforms, its a non issue; ministers are appointed by funders and some of them are the same MDC T funders who also donate to Zanu. The late Tiny Rowland of LonRho left a legacy!!
