Who are you to say that anyone is an illegitimate Christian and their prayers wont be heard because they dont have God in their heart???? Thats a mighty nasty assumption if I say so myself. If someone prays or asks for prayers they obviously know GOD no matter their sinner situation. Maybe they arent yet as intimate with him as you think you are. Maybe they arent making the visible attempts, that you require, to seek the Christian life. But does that mean God wont answer their prayers? Certainly not. Does that mean they dont deserve the prayers of others? NO! Thats not the GOD I know. Who are any of us to say what is or is not in someone elses heart? Only that person and God knows what is in their heart. There is no such thing as illegitimate in GODs eyes. We are ALL his children. Many Christians struggle daily between sinning and living for the Lord. Many...many times Christians fail God. Are they any better than the so called illegitimate Christians you speak of? Absolutely not!!! GOD made us ALL the same promise. Thank goodness he is a patient GOD. Open your eyes and your heart. See past your small thoughts and pray for that illegitimate Christian instead of judging him/her.
