Who can understand the weather?? Saturday we had blue skies and the sun was already a bit warm on my back during the morning walks. Cate had bought an extra (little) camera which I brought along when I took Paladin, Brocade & Yasera for a beach walk and some running. Unfortunately there was little to take photos of on the beach but then, it was just to see how the camera would perform with a lot of light. In the afternoon I needed to go to the plant nursery and I brought Sparkle along so shed see something different ;-). On the morning walk I had spotted the first crocuses, several bunches of snowbells and...the first daffodils in bloom! The nursery had them for sale too, as well as primroses in all possible colours and winterflowering violets. Of course I could not resist the temptation of 2 more amaryllis bulbs, one with burgundy coloured flowers, one with green-white blooms. Both are of course still no more than buds but theres something to look forward to! In the mean time I have a lovely small flower red amaryllis in bloom and a glorious big white one, with even 4 layers of petals! Yesterday was grey and rather wet, though we had a great day with the members of the Dutch Borzoi Club, a lovely (though a bit muddy) walk through the woods, and lots of catching up to do. Last year we had not taken Dutchie along as the hour walking would be too much for him, only this time there was no Borzoi waiting for us anymore, another first...... But there were enough sweet puppies to distract us and the Silkens got a lot of attention, new members saw them for the first time and were, understandably, intrigued by this miniature Borzoi..... Today the sun was out again, temps a bit lower but walking was once more a pleasure ! And then, early evening, the city was shrouded in mist, and the evening walk was a chilly affair....
