Who do you need to thank for praying you to Jeus? I think most people who become Christians think it just happens. What they do not realize is that it takes some one a lot of work in prayer for you to become a Christian. There are a few people whom I have labored over in prayer because I wanted them to know Jesus. Most of them never even knew that I prayed those many prayers, cried tears and pleaded with God for their salvation. I have always found that it takes a lot of struggle and pain for me to pray hard enough to see someone come to Jesus. In most of those cases I was not around when they came to Jesus and I only heard about it afterwards. Praying for people and not being able to participate in the joy of their salvation can be very deflating to the ego. I am just glad Jesus let me be a part of praying for them. Now I think back about who was praying for me. I sincerely believe I would not be a Christian if someone had not prayed, labored, and pleaded for me. I know Ronnie Johnson was one person who likely prayed for me, but I never really thought to thank him. At the time I never made the association between his prayers for me and my salvation. At another time I know that a woman in my home church prayed and fasted for me for weeks to get me back on the right track with God. I had not strayed, but I had been deceived. I owe Ann a big thank you for those prayers. I look back now and thank Jesus for those who fought for me. Where would I be if they had not prayed. It also makes me sad that I have never prayed for as many persons as I should have prayed. I sincerely believe that people do not come to Jesus unless someone labors in prayer. I realize now that I need to be more direct in praying for specific people. I also must be willing to pay the price in tears and pain to see my prayers answered. It is not the preachers who bring people to Jesus, Preachers frequently get to take the credit. The people who really deserve the credit are that people who pray for you.
