Who has power over grief of the lost of a dear one, when its in its early stages? Who can simply flush it out when it persist in the heart? GRIEF! That feeling that is so strong that everything turns gloomy around U. Ur heart pounds and aches real bad. The stars disappear. Sleep abandons U. U get up in the morning and Ur heart feels like a heavy rock has been placed on it. Ur head, like a spaghetti plate of confusion. Food tastes like bile in Ur once sweet toothed mouth. All U want is some quite. A time alone...to reflect, to cherish the last memories, to say duas for the lost one and for Urself, to ask for rewards fr the pain(Allah rewards His slaves fr every test and trial He puts them thru until they meet Him with no sin ).....n to shed one or two tears(tears are frm those in whose hearts Allah put mercy), no wailing n lamenting(Haram) even within the three days of mourning prescribed by Islam. A Muslim goes thru this not because he/she has weak imaan or hasnt accepted qadar, but because Allah says DEATH is the destroyer of all PLEASURES, and his/her pleasures hv just been destroyed...... And only Allah and the time He created heals n restores back this pleasures. May Allah draw us closer to Him in every situation. May our departed be in bliss.
