Who here goes to The Sands? I am seriously reconsidering ever going there again. I have always enjoyed it, but when I saw that poster Tina shared, I was excited to go to a Reno Comic Con and tried to find out how much it is. The website attached is misprinted and upon fixing the misprint I was directed to another Comic Con being put on by a different company on a different date, so immediately thought this poster was a scam. I didnt just rest there though. I actually researched more and found the FB page for this Sands Event. I posted all the errors I found out and how the poster is misleading, because I had been misled. Sands decided to respond a few times and I dropped it. I made my point. Then yesterday I responded to a person who was questioning my findings, so I presented my evidence and that was the end of that. The errors I mentioned before, still had not been fixed as of yesterday. No big deal, who cares. This is not event I am going to.....mostly because I do not want to see the people behind the scenes and comic book artists that I have never heard of....I want to see actors and characters, so I will be going to the other one. Its a personal preference of mine. Today some jackass from Sands decided to take me on. I guess I should have warned him to just drop it, but he didnt. He decided that he needed to tell me how all my findings were someone elses fault. The misprint was someone elses fault of course. Then I was told that I was wrong about the website directing me to the wrong place, after letting him know that I am not a dumb ass that he assumes I am, he admitted that he just called his IT to get that fixed. Why did you try to play it off as me being wrong about my findings? He has filled all the comments full of crap about where Comic Con came from and he has been promoting it since the 70s......blah blah blah. Guess what asshole, the general public not only does not know the history of Comic Con nor do they really care. When you say Comic Con, we think big stars, big event, we think of the event put on by Wizard World. I am soo sorry that Wizard World stole your glory and name, but thats to no fault of the general public. The fact that this guy out right lied to me and I caught him, whether it was intentional or not.....puts a bad bad taste in my mind for The Sands. Way to represent promo guy, I still in my OPINION believe you need to be fired!!
